HAPPY New YEAR !

Hello !
How are you doing ?

I hope you are in good health and that your mood is good:I send you my best wishes HAPPiNESS for the year 2006 !

This year has been for me full of adventures and emotions like the previous one: I spent 6 months in Ha Noi in Viet Nam to work as a VSO volunteer in the Marketing department of a Non-Profit Organisation ( www.hoasuaschool.com) that trains disadvantaged youth in catering jobs. I met there a lot of marvelous people, and I kept many friends. It was six unforgettable and intense, spontaneous and joyful, amusing, moving and full of giggling months !

And there was the way back, 7 weeks with a friend to cross Iran and Turkey on the back of an old indian motorbike that was only thinking of falling apart ... we will forget the tough moments and only remember the great ones: an unforgettable encounter with the Persian culture, its indescribable sense of hospitality and landscapes that take your breath away !

I am now settled in Amsterdam since October, I was lucky to find quickly a pleasant apartment at a cycling distance from my work and Aïkido club ! I started again with my former job in project management at IBM. Everything like before ? No, not really ... with a different look on things and a head full of project ! ;-)

I hope you all have had a beautiful and joyful year - despite the tough - but so enriching - times that life can bring us sometimes ... I wish that 2006 will allow you to accomplish the projects you have in mind and give us opportunities to meet each other !

Here are a few photos that are great memories for me !

My english class (1) and the colleagues from the kindergarten in India (2),
the Aïkido club (3) and the kids from the dump in Cambodia (4),
my colleagues from the school (5) and the Aïkido group in Vietnam (6),
and the motorbike in front of the Ararat mountain in Turkey at the Iranian border (7).

And if you want some more, here is a selection of my favorite photos !

In Iran and Turkey

In Cambodia

In India

In Viet Nam

Sincerely,
@leX

Bonjour Alexandra,

Florence
